LOCAL HOCKEY HEROES
A donation from the Long Lake Project enabled the
Janvier Timber Wolves Pee Wee hockey team an opportunity to travel to the Native
Provincial Hockey Championships in Edmonton recently. The team was made up of
boys aged 11 and 12, from the Chipewyan Prairie First Nation community. "It was
a wonderful and positive experience for all of us," said Evelyn Janvier, the
team's assistant manager.
